Pictures have been leaking onto the web for a few days now of Dell's new Studio line-up. Engadget unearthed snaps of the optional 'Permanent Pictaflex' prints by Mike Ming that will grace the hand rest of the 15in Studio 15 and 17in Studio 17. Now Gizmodo has unveiled the full spec list, including details of the colour schemes...

Just as we thought O2 had finally released its Pay & Go pricing for the iPhone 3G - it went and unreleased it. A page appeared on the O2 website appearing to give full details of the 8GB and 16GB pre-pay deals, but then mysteriously disappeared.

Thankfully it was up long enough for plenty of people to make note of the details. An 8GB model will cost slightly less than predicted at £299.99, while a 16GB version will be £60 more. Intriguingly there'll also be free Wi-Fi and 3G data thrown in for the first six months, reverting to £10 a month after that. Click through for the full text of the offer.

BenQ isn't the biggest mobile player in the UK - but then neither is BT Fusion, BT's Wi-Fi home phone and mobile combo offering. The two have joined together to bring the E72 to these shores, a sharp looking handset with one of the slimmest profiles of any Windows Mobile 6 device.

It measures just 13mm thick and weighs in at a mere 90g. It doesn't have 3G, but it does have the all important Wi-Fi and an instant messaging client compatible with MSN Messenger, Gtalk, Yahoo, ICQ, AOL and Jabber. The camera is a standard 2MP affair and the 2in display is QVGA.

You can get it in any colour as long as it's black, coupled with a "striking" high gloss finish and a splash of red to make it stand out from the crowd.

Lenovo's confirmed it's working on a new series of laptops that will have some interesting features aimed at small business users who don't have the benefit of their own IT department to take care of things.

The SL series will come loaded with built-in online backup and LoJack software that can remotely delete data and even locate stolen laptops and inform the police.

Other features hint at a consumer slant with a 'stylish' new look, video creation software and an HDMI connector.

The range will be formally announced in the next few weeks when hardware details will be given. US prices ranging from a tempting $699 to a less than eye watering $1,199 suggest they won't be quad core.

AppleInsider has it, from a poster on the Mac Rumors forum who says he met an O2 insider who was at a company conference on Monday (got that?), that the iPhone 3G will go on sale here in the UK at 7am on 11th July.

More accurately, it says O2 store doors will open at 7.02am, making a similar play on the network's name as last year's 6.02pm launch. That would differ from the US, where word is that there'll be an 8am start...

Most people serious about their gaming choose a desktop PC for its power, value and ease of upgrades. Laptops aren’t well known for their gaming prowess and usually lag behind their PC counterparts where graphics technology is concerned.

It seems that no-one’s told Alienware, though, as the company has a long and fairly successful history of cramming insanely powerful hardware into both laptops and PCs. The company is now owned by Dell and while the Texan PC giant has its own XPS range of gaming laptops, the Area-51 m15x puts them well into the shade.

Asus has finally made Windows XP drivers for the Eee PC 901 available online. The drivers can be downloaded from the Asus support web site, thought actually getting to the appropriate page seems a little hit an miss at the moment. The FTP server appears to be fine, though – it’s at ftp.asus.com, and can be accessed anonymously.

The number of 3G users in Europe has just crept past the 100 million mark - no doubt helped by the sudden penchant for mobile broadband.

Informa Telecoms and Media says that at the end of May there were 101.5 million 3G subscriptions, although that's still a minuscule proportion of the total 910.8 million European mobiles (although a significant number of these may be attributed to the several pre-pay GSM bricks lurking at the back of our office filing cabinet).

Top of the 3G league was Sweden, followed by Norway and Italy who each had well over 25% subscriptions given over to 3G. With Portugal, Austria and Spain occupying the rest of the top six, it seems the UK may have some catching up to do.

There's news today of a double whammy for prospective iPhone 3G owners. With all the cost cutting needed to trim the price of the new handset, it seems Apple won't be including an iPhone dock with new purchases.

The Inquirer reports that only a USB cable will included for syncing with a PC or Mac, leaving owners to shell out a likely £29 if they want to keep their iPhone neatly propped up on their desk.

In another story today, iPhone Atlas has it on good authority (well, an Apple Store employee anyway) that, “the iPhone 3G is shaped differently and doesn’t fit in the same dock,” as the original model. So if you were planning on using the dock that came with your old iPhone you'll also be scuppered.

There's been nothing official from Apple but a quick look at the 'In the box' contents on the iPhone 3G's Tech Specs page shows only a 'Dock Connector to USB Cable' listed - with 'iPhone 3G Dock' listed alongside the Bluetooth headset under 'Accessories'. It also lists an 'iPhone 3G Universal Dock Adapter 3-Pack', for converting a Universal Dock, as a separate accessory to the standard iPhone adaptor pack. Guess that just about confirms both stories then.

Asus has postponed its £10 high-capacity battery upgrade offer for the Eee PC 900. Due to begin yesterday, the offer was designed to placate owners who were unhappy with performance of the Eee PC 900’s stock 4400mAh battery. 

Unfortunately, delays in battery shipments to the UK meant that Asus wasn’t able to start the offer as planned – much to the frustration of owners over at EeeUser who are already unhappy with the awkward handling of the offer.
