Powering the phone is an 800MHz processor that Asus claims offers, "graphics and system performance beyond anything else on the market at present." By way of raw comparison, the iPhone has a 620MHz processor, while the HTC Touch HD is 528Mhz.
Asus is touting it as a multitasking power tool but it should give some extra slickness to its 3D Glide touch-interface, which sits on top of the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
HSDPA and Wi-FI are both on board the P565. It also gets a 2.8in, VGA res touchscreen, a 3mp camera that'll record DVD-quality video and some interesting details, such as (synthetic) leather-lined battery door. That should go nicely with any business users' faux leather briefcase.
No official release date as yet - but it looks like it could be here early next year.
