Asus preps 160GB Eee PC 900HA

Asus Eee PC 900You know, we woke up this morning thinking what the world needed right now was one more Eee PC 900 confirguration. And would you believe it if Asus didn't just go ahead and announce one?

Incredible, we know. Actually this one is quite welcome as it's taken the usual 900A trimmings and added a not-so-small 160GB hard drive. Naturally it's of the traditional type, rather than any SSD malarkey but that should fill the gap in the market for those who wanted a dinky netbook but couldn't be doing with the dinky storage options.

To go with the 160 gigs, the 900HA comes with the same 8.9in, 1024 x 600 display, 1GB RAM, 1.6GHz Intel Atom and four-cell battery you'll fine on the aforementioned 900A. Why Asus couldn't just sell the 900A with a 160GB hard drive option we'll never know.

No official pricing yet but Stuff.tv's put a finger in the air and divined a £299 price tag - rather more than the $350 it'll be selling for on Amazon in the States.
