Nokia Tube 8500 pic leaked

By Nick Mansell on Wed 24 September 2008

Nokie Tube 8500 XpressMusicHere's the closest close-up we've had of Nokia's long, long awaited Tube, or 8500 XpressMusic to give it its new long name.

The shot's been leaked on Czech website, mobli.cz, as the momentum builds towards its expected 2nd October launch next week. Click through for more details and the full size pic.

Although Nokia's featured a phone very much like the Tube in its marketing materials for some time, this is the biggest hint yet of what the final handset will look like.

By the looks of things, Nokia's gone for a three button interface underneath the touchscreen rather than the iPhone's one - allowing it to retain the two soft keys for the Series 60 interface.

Rumoured final specs are:

- 3.2in, 16M colour, touchscreen
- 640 x 360 pixels resolution with 16:9 display ratio
- Symbian S60 5th edition OS with touch input
- Accelerometer for auto screen rotation.
- 3.2 MP AF Carl Zeiss lens, dual LED flash and geo-tagging support
- GPS with A-GPS function
- microSDHC
