Nokia Tube to launch on '2nd October'

Nokia Tube 8500Several websites are reporting that Nokia sources are indicating an imminent launch on Nokia's touchscreen phone, codenamed the Tube or 8500. Both Pocket Lint and Mobile Entertainment state 2nd October as the day the Finns will be officially unveiling their iPhone 3G rival.

Pocket Lint has it pegged for announcement at the London launch of Nokia's Comes With Music service on the 2nd and states that it will be released under Nokia's XpressMusic brand.

The rumoured launch would put the announcement at just six days ahead of a previously rumoured on-sale date. Roll on October.
