Doro HandleEasy mobile phones are great for grandparents

We’re not quite sure why it’s taken so long for someone to figure this out, but Doro has finally come up with a mobile phone that someone with less than youthful eyesight and/or manual dexterity can get to grips with. Called the HandleEasy, this new mobile has large buttons and an equally large colour display.

Alas, Doro still hasn’t been able to resist cramming in some pointless features that are bound to confuse some mobile phone novices, and both the 328gsm and 330gsm models also have an FM radio, torch, vibrating ringer and a speakerphone function.

Chris Millington, MD Doro UK said: “Needs, opinions and tastes in mobile phones differ among senior citizens as much as in younger target groups. It’s great that we can now provide alternatives even for senior citizens who need functions like text messaging or listening to the radio, but still want an easy-to-use mobile phone.”

We’d argue that an easy-to-use mobile phone is all that anyone above a certain age wants and they have a flashlight and FM radio for getting around in the dark and catching up on The Archers…

Kudos to Doro for realising that it’s not just young whippersnappers who want to use a mobile and on the face of it, the HandleEasy looks ideal for anyone who can’t get to grips with the current generation of tiny multi-screen, multi-function mobiles.
