Moto offers full-length movie dowloads

Motorola's been pushing the movie playing experience on mobiles such as the Z10 lately. Now it's taken the next natural step and offered movie downloads via its hellomoto.com website.
The full length films aren't delivered over the air but rather downloaded via PC to be transferred to a phone. It's a simple drag and drop process but the handset is required to go online and download a license key before the file will play.
Each movie takes up around 250MB and costs from £5.99, with newly released blockbusters stretching up to a pricey £8.99. That makes most of its downloads cheaper than iTunes Store but, with playback on your phone the only option, it's arguably worse value than Apple's PC/Mac/Apple TV/iPhone/iPod Touch compatible offering.
Whether small screen portable movies will catch on at the price Motorola's pitched at remains to be seen but Moto owners can try the service out from today.
