If you're patiently waiting for RIM's next generation BlackBerries, then we have good news. The Canadian firm is apparently all set to launch the first of its new crop, the BlackBerry 9000, this Monday.

The Boy Genius Report has it on good authority that it'll be unveiled on the first day of this year's Wireless Enterprises Symposium, dubbed the "biggest BlackBerry event of the year", in Orlando - including working models for those lucky enough to be there.

The 9000 is the first to show off RIM's new 4.6 OS, the first BlackBerry to get a hi-res 480x320 display and the first to combine Wi-Fi, A-GPS and HSDPA. It's expected to go on sale in the US in July, with a Vodafone launch in Europe not far behind.

For those who can't make it to Orlando on Monday, Crackberry has a sneaky hands-on - including video of the new OS - with an early release version that it somehow managed to snaffle via eBay. If only we'd spotted it first...
