Rock Computers enters administration

Rock Computers

A message on the Rock Computers news site states that the laptop manufacturer has entered into administration. It goes on to say that the administrators are working closely with the management of Rock to attempt to secure a sale of the business as a going concern, but that it is unable to maintain normal trading activities during this interim period – including fulfilling sales orders and undertaking service and warranty work.

The message goes on to state that Rock’s difficulties are the result of “cash flow difficulties faced as a result of stock misappropriation by a former employee”.

Despite the announcement, the Rock website appears to be running a normal service, but all orders now lead to the administrator’s statement rather than the online checkout.

If you were on the brink of ordering anything from Rock – don’t. If you’ve already placed, but have yet to receive, an order, you should contact your credit card company as soon as possible about securing a refund.

If you didn’t order by credit card, or have equipment with Rock for warranty repair, all you can do at this stage is cross your fingers.
