Devotec Solar Charger shows sun who's in charge

Devotec solar chargerIf suitcase-size solar panels seem a tad too cumbersome then consider Devotec's new solar charger, dubbed it's smallest yet. Even smaller than an iPod nano (1st generation that is) its built-in battery packs enough power to charge a mobile, Blackberry or MP3 player twice over.

The real beauty is that, even when its own 1800mAh battery runs dry, it can be topped up with a quick sunbathe. Should the British weather not prove conducive to solar charging, it can always be plugged into a handy wall socket ready for the next time its services are called upon.

It comes with a bunch of adaptors to plug into most makes of phone, digital cameras and MP3 players. An optional travel adaptor will also let you plug it into power sockets when abroad.

At £19.99, Devotec reckons it has a "higher spec and more connectivity than solar chargers costing twice as much". It even throws in a natty 'leather' (ish) pouch that puts cheapo glasses cases to shame. What more could the dedicated solar power fan ask for?
