Celio Redfly Mobile Companion reviewed

Celio Redfly Mobile CompanionThere’s an early but detailed review of the Celio Redfly Mobile Companion devices over at Brighthand. Essentially a Windows Mobile equivalent of the doomed Palm Foleo, the Redfly seems to have a lot going for it – it’s about the size of an Asus Eee PC, but has a slightly larger 8in screen and an eight hour battery life. The catch is that it’s really nothing more than a big screen and keyboard for a connected Windows Mobile smartphone – and it’s useless without one.

Brighthand is pretty positive about the device and really only has two complaints. The first is actually not the Redfly’s fault, but rather that of Pocket Internet Explorer – it’s rubbish. The second is the price and at $500 plus the cost of a smartphone, the Redfly is far from cheap.
